What is Bio exactly? The terms 'Bio' and 'Biological' are protected by European legislation. 'Bioproducts' are produced according to the standards of biological farming and stock breeding.
Biological farmers do not use any synthetic chemical fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides. Soil maintenance and fertility are central. The use of genetically manipulated organisms is also forbidden. In biological stock breeding emphasis is placed on the health and welfare of the animals. Natural growth processes and seasons are of great importance for biological farming. This results in products with a full and authentic taste. Nikita, as a salad producer, is a pioneer in this field and manufactures fresh, biological salads. 'Bio salads' follow all the rules of Bio legislation ans contain only raw materials that comply with this legislation. They also contain no colouring or preservatives.
